Wedding in a stunning castle near Lake Como
Story
Tashina’s Side
Tashina awoke with her heart full of anticipation. After years of planning, the day had finally arrived. She looked forward to arriving at Castello di Rossino, to begin her transformation with the hair and makeup she had envisioned for so long.
Her dream dress waited — a symbol of love and hope — and she could hardly wait to step into it. She glanced outside, watching the sky with quiet prayers that the rain would hold, wishing for the ceremony she had always imagined — outdoors, with Lake Como as her backdrop. At the castle, her bridesmaids arrived one by one, traveling from across the globe to stand by her side. Their reunion filled the room with laughter and love, years melting away in an instant. Now, surrounded by friendship and ready in her gown, Tashina was prepared to step into her fairytale — and marry the love of her life.
Joey’s Side
The morning began quietly, but with a sense of electricity in the air. As he opened his eyes, he knew — this was the day. The one they had spent the last two years carefully planning for. Every email, every phone call, every tiny detail with vendors was finally coming together, all for this moment. But for all the planning, there was one thing they hadn’t accounted for — the forecast. Rain. Heavy rain, in Lake Como of all places. As they prepared in separate rooms, he found himself pacing, peeking out the window every ten minutes, whispering to himself, Please don’t rain.
First look
The time came for their first look. When Joey turned and saw her — his bride, Tashina — standing there, glowing with grace and beauty, everything else melted away. She took his breath away. In that moment, he saw not just a beautiful woman, but his future — the one he’d waited a lifetime to begin. The couple shared a photoshoot that felt like a dream, before reuniting with their wedding party for more joyful, laughter-filled moments.
Ceremony
As the ceremony approached, a sudden crack of thunder rolled through the sky. Joey turned to their wedding planner, Giorgia, who joked, “Hopefully not a bomb.” Joey smiled and replied, “Hopefully it is — and not a storm.” Standing at the altar, heart racing, he looked up to a sky that had been threatening rain all day — and just then, a golden beam of sunlight broke through the grey. And there she was. His bride. Walking toward him with a radiance that made everything else fall away. That was the moment it truly hit him — this was the dream come true. During the ceremony, he struggled to hold back tears and eyes shimmered as Tashina was reciting her vows and as Tashina’s uncle – their celebrant- welcomed him into the Walker family on behalf of her late mother. Every word, every promise etched itself onto his soul. This was the woman he would build a life with. Start a family with. Grow old with. And, someday, leave this world beside. Their day wasn’t just a wedding — it was a story of love, hope, and serendipity. One where even thunder, papal bells, and sunshine played a part. A day that could never be replicated, and would never be forgotten.
